Stanley-Whitman House

The program for the addition and renovation for the Stanley-Whitman House, an historic house museum and educational facility in Farmington Conn., included the creation of a Welcome Center with interactive video displays, orientation room, gift shop and a desk for tour receipts and gift shop transactions.  The renovation also included expanded classrooms, a new library and larger collection storage space.  Special features include reclaimed timbers for post and beam construction, re-used brick for floors, exposed brick walls and a custom designed Welcome Desk.

Connecticut Historical Commission

This project involved the renovation and expansion of the Connecticut Historical Commission’s offices in the Amos Bull House at 59 Prospect Street.  Expansion was achieved through the gut renovation of the adjacent Butler-McCook Homestead Carriage House.  In addition, there is a two story connector between these two structures.  The renovated carriage house included two stories of office space plus a full basement
