This project involved the renovation of much of an existing 2-story senior center and the construction of a new post-and-beam styled solarium.  A portion of the renovated area involved the creation of new space by constructing a new floor in an existing 2-story space.  The scope of the project included new director’s office, a new health services suite, new crafts room and new computer room.  In addition, existing bathrooms were brought into code compliance and the finishes were updated throughout.  The project was completed on time and within budget.

Over the course of five years, we performed a multi-phase interior renovation project which encompassed 75% of the library’s floor area.  In addition to the main Circulation area, we worked on the following areas: Reference, Technical Services, Periodicals, Computer Services, Young Adult and the Children’s areas.  We also completed ADA renovations as well as a small addition for Maintenance.  New furniture was also part of the project and included extensive custom millwork for Circulation and Reference desks.

William J. Pitkin Community Center

This 30,000 square foot former elementary school building now houses a multi-use community center whose programs include all ages -  from day care and exercise for tots to billiards and games for young adults to Meals- on-Wheels, bingo and bridge for seniors.  The scope of work involved ADA modifications including new handicapped accessible bathrooms, a new community/function room (120-seat banquet room with complete kitchen), new ceilings and energy efficient lighting, carpeting, wall finishes, window treatment and furniture.  An extremely tight schedule and austere budget presented challenges.
