Hartford DispensarY, Hartford

This was an adaptive reuse of an existing building into a methadone clinic.  In order to support client privacy, we replaced an existing storefront with an undulating glass block wall.  This new wall was a simple and elegant way to reaffirm the building’s original modernist design.  The first floor contains medical services and the second floor contains offices.

Hartford Dispensary,

New London

In order to blend into the neighborhood, our client, a methadone dispensary chose to renovate an abandoned car dealership for the new facility.  By exposing the existing structure, we were able to create this space, a light filled waiting area.  The plan also included treatment rooms, medical spaces and offices.

This former factory for pants suspenders was transformed into a methadone dispensary.  Starting with just the bare shell of an old brick factory building, it involved a total renovation.  The design was intended to be fresh and clean in order to compliment a neighborhood in transition, the first floor contains medical services and the second floor contains offices.
